PR Club Welcomes Entries for the 55th Annual Bell Ringer Awards

New category group highlights social media excellence, plus the return of the William M. Cavanaugh Student Award and another in-person ceremony to properly celebrate winners

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PR Club, the nation’s longest-running organization for communications professionals in New England, today opened submissions for the 55th Annual Bell Ringer Awards that honor outstanding achievements in PR and marketing. The Bell Ringer Awards are open to public relations, marketing and communication professionals based in New England or those who manage(d) initiatives for New England-based clients. Winning submissions will be announced and celebrated in-person on June 8, 2023, at the Royal Sonesta in Boston. More details on the ceremony will be shared at a later date.

Following positive feedback from last year, entries for the three Professional Awards will remain free for PR Club members. The Striker (young professional), Ringer (mid-level), and the John J. Molloy Crystal Bell for Lifetime Achievement are also open for nominations here.

PR Club wants to highlight some changes and enhancements to the 2023 awards:

  • A new single-item category group to display Social Media Excellence in various platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok.
  • Streamlined campaign groups to make it easier for entrants to find the optimal category to enter.
  • As part of the PR Club’s mission to develop and encourage the next generation of public relations professionals, the PR Club is bringing back the William M. Cavanaugh Student Award, a $1,000 award to one junior or senior undergraduate student.

“The official launch of the Bell Ringer Awards marks an exciting and important time for New England PR, marketing and comms pros to reflect on the positive work they have done in the past year,” said Sofia Giovannello, President of PR Club and Managing Supervisor at Methods+Mastery. “Each year, we are delighted to see the creativity and innovation of the submitted work, and I am excited to be even more involved in the process as my first year as President.”

Entries can be submitted using the online submission form and must represent work completed between January 1, 2022, and March 24, 2023. To qualify for early-bird pricing and discounted rates, sign up or renew your membership here.
