Oomph and Adapt USA Combine Forces to Become Pare & Co

New brand reflects the evolution of the nearly 20-year-old digital consultancy and its expansion for the AI era

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oomph today announced the launch of Pare & Co (Pare), a new name and brand that reflects how the digital consultancy has evolved over nearly two decades, including its recent acquisition of Adapt USA and its growing investment in AI.

Pare brings Oomph and Adapt USA together under a single brand and a broader model for digital consulting. The firm combines senior strategic judgment with AI-enabled delivery.

Founded in Providence in 2007, Oomph began with a focus on smaller-scale digital work where, as the name suggested, a little extra “oomph” could make the difference between something good and something great.

Today, the scale and complexity of the work are very different. Tens of millions of people depend on the websites, platforms, and digital products Pare creates with its clients. Pare works with organizations across healthcare, financial services, technology and other complex industries, including Brown University Health, Workhuman, nCino and 8am. In these sectors, digital experiences have to do more than work well. They have to be accurate, accessible, secure, and worthy of people's trust.

Pare brings Oomph and Adapt USA together under a single brand and a new model for digital consulting organized around outcomes rather than deliverables. Every engagement begins by identifying the outcome that matters most: Trust, Engagement, Growth, or Intelligence. Senior people own the judgment and the outcome, bringing together the capabilities and expertise needed to move it.

“Pare is the perfect combination for Adapt's present and future customers. With our expanded services and new brand, our customers will be delighted,” said Doug Sisko, Managing Director of Pare’s Growth Practice and founder of Adapt USA.

“This is such an exciting time in technology. Organizations are being asked to move faster and successful adoption of AI is making that a reality. But, the clients we serve can't afford to trade speed for trust, accuracy, security or reliability,” said Christopher Murray, founder and CEO of Pare. “The opportunity isn't simply to do the same work faster. It's to rethink what we can do for our clients and how we do it.”

Pare brings Oomph and Adapt USA together under a single brand and a broader model for digital consulting. The firm combines senior strategic judgment with AI-enabled delivery to help clients understand the problem that matters most, determine what should be done, and bring together the right expertise to do it.

The name Pare reflects that approach. “Operating at this level requires business understanding, strategic thinking and the ability to navigate a great deal of complexity,” Mathew O’Bryant, President of Pare, said. “Pare means getting through that complexity to the core of the problem so we can move forward with what matters most.”

The launch includes a new visual identity, website, and an expanded set of capabilities spanning strategy, experience design, technology, digital growth, and intelligence.

For existing Oomph and Adapt clients, the transition to Pare doesn’t change their current work or teams. It simply marks the next stage of a transformation that has been underway inside the company for years.
