Robert S. Ruffini Fluxtrol Student Research Award at HEAT TREAT 2023

Fluxtrol Inc. and ASM Heat Treating Society give awards to young scientists who are making strides in the field of thermal processing.

DETROIT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The ASM (American Society of Materials) Heat Treating Society is holding their 32nd annual conference and exhibition, “Heat Treat 2023,” OCTOBER 17 – 19 | located at Huntington Place, 1 Washington Blvd. Detroit, MI 48226.

The 2023 Heat Treat event is set to feature an award and recognition competition, specifically designed for young, innovative scientists entering the field of heat treating. This initiative aims to stimulate the involvement of emerging scientists in the ASM Heat Treating Society and to present appealing opportunities within the worldwide Thermal Processing community. Abstract contest submissions are focused on the thermal processing of metal or metal-containing components. The competition is divided into two phases: a poster competition and an oral presentation competition for those who advance to the semi-finals.

The itinerary is as follows:

Phase 1 – Poster Presentations
Tuesday, October 17 | 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Phase 2 – Oral Presentations
Wednesday, October 18 | 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.|
