Fluxtrol’s Executive Director of Strategic Planning and Product Development is Elected to ASM Fellow of Society (FASM)

Robert Goldstein is honored by the American Society of Materials

DETROIT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fluxtrol Inc. is pleased to announce that our very own Executive Director, Robert Goldstein, has been recognized as an ASM Fellow of the Society (FASM), for seminal work on induction heat treating applications, making significant contributions to diverse areas such as human health, space exploration and materials processing.

About Robert Goldstein (FASM)

Rob Goldstein has been working at Fluxtrol since he graduated from the University of Michigan in 1998, currently serving as Executive Director of Product Development and Strategic Planning. His focus is on helping to develop and promote new technologies and markets that will expand the field of induction heat treatment. He was recently awarded the title of Fellow of ASM International for his contributions to the field. He has been a co-author of over 100 papers and presentations on the induction heating technique, co-authored a chapter in the “Handbook of Metallurgical Process Design”, and two articles in the recently released ASM Handbook Volume 4C. Rob works extensively with the ASM Heat Treating Society, especially in the area of technical programming for the bi-annual Heat Treat Conference. His current research is in the areas of computer simulation, methods for magnetic flux control, development of new induction heating processes and optimization of current induction heat treating applications.

About the Fellow of the Society

ASM’s “Fellow of the Society” (FASM) award was established in 1969 to honor its members for their distinguished contributions to materials science and engineering, and to establish a diverse group of technical and professional leaders to advise the society. In subsequent years, additional Fellows are elected to this prestigious body. The Fellows provide direction, which improves ASM's capabilities as a technical community for materials science and engineering in the coming years.

Please congratulate, Robert Goldstein, FASM, 2020.
