Cloudinary Customer Paul Smith Wins Two High-profile Awards for its Digital Experience and Innovation

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cloudinary customer and global fashion retailer Paul Smith was honored with a Retail TouchPoints 2023 Brand Experience Award in the Digital Innovation category for their implementation of MACH (Microservices based, API-first, Cloud-native SaaS and Headless) technologies including Cloudinary, which have been central to the evolution of their digital-first customer experience. Recognized at an awards ceremony held earlier this month at the Retail & Innovation Conference and Expo in Chicago, the brand also took the top prize for Best Digital Experience as part of The MACH Alliance’s annual event MACH TWO that same week.

The Brand Experience Awards spotlight businesses that have implemented new tools and strategies in one or several areas of the brand experience. Paul Smith’s win showcases the power of a flexible and composable architecture to vastly improve a brand’s digital experience.

The goal of Paul Smith’s digital revamp was to create an updated digital ecommerce experience for retail customers and launch a new B2B site for wholesale partners. Relying on Cloudinary and other MACH technologies, the brand, along with its site architect partner Limesharp, were able to not only accomplish this but also reduce its asset management costs, boost its video-enabled sales, and increase revenue from search.   • A 74% increase in revenue from search and a 45% boost in video-enabled sales
  • A 31% growth in e-commerce conversion rates with a per session value increase of 26%
  • 33.75% growth in conversion rates for men's items, and nearly 50% growth in conversion rates for women's items
  • A more than 40% reduction in the brand’s asset management costs
  • A faster and more accurate customer experience thanks to AI-powered search and merchandising
