Amory McAndrew and Steven Silverberg Elevated to Counsel

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney, LLP is pleased to announce the promotions of Miriam Manber to partner and Amory McAndrew and Steven Silverberg to counsel.

Miriam is an accomplished trial lawyer with experience litigating commercial, employment, and civil rights matters. She regularly defends public agencies, including railroads, and has won rare defense judgments under the Federal Employers Liability Act and the Federal Railroad Safety Act. She also represents both plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes commercial contract disputes, such as helping secure a multimillion-dollar jury verdict for a foreign credit card issuer against Mastercard. Prior to joining HNRK, Miriam completed a two-year clerkship in the Staff Attorney’s Office of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Amory frequently represents employers and executives in all aspects of the employment relationship, counseling clients on issues ranging from discrimination and retaliation to wage-and-hour issues and compensation. Amory also represents businesses of all sizes, including startups (she is currently acting as the primary outside counsel for a technology consulting firm), and often advises clients in the retail and fashion industries as well. She spearheads HNRK’s women’s initiative, developing strategies that further the firm’s commitment to diversity and inclusion and growth of young talent, and was recently named to Profiles in Diversity Journal’s Women Worth Watching list.

Steven is a seasoned litigator with significant experience as a first-chair trial attorney handling employment, civil rights, professional malpractice, and other high-profile impact litigation. He has conducted sensitive internal investigations ranging from inquiries into allegations of workplace misconduct to an evaluation of a global financial institution’s operations controls in advance of securities fraud litigation. He routinely litigates complex commercial and business disputes on behalf of clients in the media, hospitality, healthcare, and financial services industries, and advises and represents clients on all aspects of the employment relationship. Steven currently teaches as an adjunct professor at the Rutgers University School of Criminal Justice.
