TraXtion Partners with Kenect and Tekmetric to Connect Tire Diagnostics with Shop Management and Customer Texting

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TraXtion, a provider of automated tire and alignment diagnostic systems, announced new partnerships and software integrations today with Kenect, a dealership text messaging and reputation management platform, and Tekmetric, a cloud-based auto repair shop management system. TraXtion is demonstrating this week at the SEMA Show, which runs November 3-6 in Las Vegas, and attendees can discuss the connected workflows at booth 41219.

"Tire sellers lose revenue every day because inspection data gets stuck on a clipboard or a customer misses a phone call," says Brad Kokesh, TraXtion's President and CEO. "Shops using Tekmetric can integrate our tread and alignment scans into accurate tire quotes in seconds, and stores using Kenect will immediately see clear visual proof of tire wear and other TraXtion diagnostics into their MPI reports. This means less time re-entering data, faster approvals in the lane and more tire and alignment revenue on every repair order."

Together, the integrations link TraXtion's TreadSpec and GrooveSpec inspection hardware directly with the core software systems that dealerships, independent repair shops and tire retailers use every day to write estimates and communicate with drivers.

With the Tekmetric integration, available in Q4, tread-depth measurements and wheel alignment readings captured by TraXtion flow directly into Tekmetric's digital vehicle inspections, repair orders and Tire Suite estimate builder. Service advisors no longer have to walk paper inspection sheets to the front counter or type measurements by hand. Instead, advisors can pull TraXtion's diagnostic data into a repair order, match replacement tires by VIN, present side-by-side tire options to the customer and automate Department of Transportation tire registration from one screen.

With the Kenect integration, shared dealership and tire retail customers can push TraXtion's color-coded inspection findings and tire recommendations straight into an active two-way text message thread with the vehicle owner. Service teams can answer customer questions in real time, secure work approvals, collect payment via text link and send automated review requests once the vehicle leaves the bay.

For tire sellers, connecting diagnostic hardware with estimate building and text messaging removes the friction that causes customers to delay or decline tire work. Shops can now turn a tire tread scan into a priced tire quote in seconds and text visual proof of worn tread to the driver while the vehicle is still on the lift.
