Registration is open for the 6th BioCentury- BayHelix East-West Biopharma Summit, whose Regional Host Chair represents about 300 Korean pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Join BioCentury, BayHelix, and KPBMA in Seoul, March 15-17, 2027

SEOUL, South Korea--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BioCentury today announced that the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association (KPBMA) will serve as Regional Host Chair of the 6th BioCentury-BayHelix East-West Biopharma Summit, taking place March 15-17, 2027, at the Conrad Seoul in South Korea. Presented by BioCentury, BayHelix, and Insights Partner McKinsey & Company, the East-West Biopharma Summit returns to Seoul for the second time to continue the debate on Asia’s Arc of Innovation, with KPBMA helping connect Korea’s biopharma leaders with investors and dealmakers from across Asia and the West.

"Returning with KPBMA as our Regional Host Chair lets us connect global investors and pharma executives with the leaders behind that momentum, in the city where so much of it is happening,” said David Flores, Co-Founder, President and CEO of BioCentury

KPBMA President Yunhong Noh chairs the East-West Biopharma Summit’s Regional Host Committee, which brings together senior leaders from across Korea’s biopharma ecosystem, including executives from ABL Bio, Alteogen, CHA Biotech, Ildong Pharmaceutical, KB Investments, the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, LG Chem, and SK Biopharmaceuticals. The committee works alongside the East-West Biopharma Summit’s International Steering Committee to shape a program built around Korea’s growing role as a source of first-in-class innovation and a destination of choice for clinical trials and biomanufacturing.

“Korean companies have advanced first-in-class science, strong clinical infrastructure, and biomanufacturing capabilities at global scale. The next step is sustained access to the investors and partners who can help bring these innovations to patients worldwide. Bringing the East-West Biopharma Summit to Seoul connects our members directly with global investors and industry leaders, creating opportunities for meaningful partnerships. We believe the Summit will catalyze new cross-border partnerships that drive innovation and further strengthen K-Pharma’s position in the global biopharma landscape,” said Yunhong Noh, President of KPBMA and Chairman of the Summit’s Regional Host Committee.

The East-West Biopharma Summit offers C-level networking, partnering, and debate for VCs, private equity investors, biotech CEOs, CFOs, and CBOs, and business development and licensing leaders from Australia, China, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and the West. The East-West Biopharma Summit’s agenda sessions will examine:

  • How leading Asia biotechs are generating faster clinical data to advance their pipelines and derisk global development
  • How global partners can source assets for worldwide markets from emerging innovation hubs across Asia’s Arc of Innovation
  • Which Asia-originated assets investors and BD&L leaders see as most compelling for licensing and NewCo creation
  • Which Asia-based contract development and manufacturing organizations and service providers are best positioned to accelerate global pipelines
  • Where licensing and NewCo opportunities are emerging in Korea, Japan, Singapore, Australia, and other Asia markets

Delegates can also see Korea’s ecosystem firsthand. The program includes an ecosystem tour on the morning of March 15 and an overnight excursion March 17-18 to Songdo, home to Samsung Biologics, Celltrion, and Lotte Biologics. An exclusive CEO and Investor Reception on March 15 adds further networking. Space on the tours and at the reception is limited, and early registration is encouraged.

“Seoul is a natural home for the East-West Biopharma Summit. Korean companies are among the most active partners in cross-border dealmaking today, bringing innovative science, deep clinical expertise, and world-class manufacturing to the table. Returning with KPBMA as our Regional Host Chair lets us connect global investors and pharma executives with the leaders behind that momentum, in the city where so much of it is happening,” said David Flores, Co-Founder, President and CEO of BioCentury.

Registration for the 6th BioCentury-BayHelix East-West Biopharma Summit is open on the East-West Biopharma Summit registration site. Biotechs from Korea, Asia, and the West can apply to join the Presenting Company Class of 2027 to pitch to potential investors and partners, and organizations interested in thought leadership and branding can review sponsorship opportunities.
