Porter Named Skytrax’s Best Regional Airline in North America for Third Consecutive Year

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Porter Airlines was named Best Regional Airline in North America at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, marking the airline's third consecutive year receiving this honour.

The category recognizes airlines that primarily or exclusively operate within North America, and are based on the results of the world's largest airline passenger satisfaction survey. This year's awards ceremony was presented in London.

"Winning this award for a third consecutive year tells us our approach to economy travel continues to resonate with passengers," said Michael Deluce, CEO, Porter Airlines. "From day one, we set out to prove that flying economy doesn't mean compromising on comfort or care. No middle seats, complimentary beer and wine in glassware, premium snacks and free WiFi are all part of the experience, but it's how our team delivers that service, with genuine care, that keeps travellers coming back. This recognition belongs to every Porter team member who makes this possible."

Since 2006, Porter's distinct service has defined the airline's identity, and continues to anchor its growth across an expanding network.

Today, Porter serves 131 routes and 54 destinations, with a domestic Canadian network reaching every province. The airline continues expanding its footprint across the U.S., Caribbean and Latin America.

“We congratulate Porter Airlines on winning this top award as the Best Regional Airline in North America, which is a great achievement, especially doing so for the third consecutive year,” said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax. “Porter Airlines retains a distinct service culture, and travellers truly appreciate the comfort, presentation, and personal touch that Porter brings to its flights.”

Porter is one of only three carriers in North America to hold Skytrax's Official 4-Star Rating, recognizing airlines that deliver strong overall quality performance.
