Porter Airlines Wins USA Today Best Economy Class

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Porter Airlines was selected as the world’s Best Economy Class by USA Today Readers’ Choice Awards. This is the third year in a row Porter has received this prestigious recognition.

These awards highlight the best of the best in a variety of categories such as travel, food and drink, and things to do, with all nominees submitted by a panel of experts. Porter was ranked first out of 20 international airlines.

“Porter has set the standard for a more enjoyable travel experience for all passengers since its founding 20 years ago,” said Edmond Eldebs, senior vice president, chief commercial officer, Porter Airlines. “We have distinguished ourselves by offering an elevated economy service inclusive of no middle seats, free beer and wine served in glassware, and complimentary premium snacks on every flight. Porter’s growth over the next several years will see us bring this experience to even more travellers. This award speaks to the commitment of our team members to provide the highest level of service and genuine hospitality.”

The airline has seen tremendous growth in the past three years. In 2023, Porter launched a transcontinental network based on its order for up to 100 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. Fifty-six E2s are currently in service, complementing 29 De Havilland Dash 8-400s. Porter has been expanding its network, now serving 33 destinations and 131 routes across every Canadian province, the U.S., and sun destinations in Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.
