HarbourVest Partners Appoints Tony Ranaldi as Managing Director to Lead Private Credit Evergreen Strategy

Appointment strengthens HarbourVest’s Private Credit Evergreen capabilities as the firm continues to expand its Evergreen platform offerings for investors

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HarbourVest Partners (“HarbourVest”) a global private markets asset manager, today announced the appointment of Tony Ranaldi as Managing Director, Evergreen Portfolio Management. Based in Boston, Ranaldi will lead portfolio management for HarbourVest’s Private Credit Evergreen strategy.

HarbourVest is focused on providing investors with more flexible options to incorporate private markets into their investment portfolios. Ranaldi will play a key role in the expansion of these capabilities designed to provide clients with more diversified, resilient allocations aligned with their long-term objectives.

Ranaldi brings nearly three decades of investment experience spanning private credit, opportunistic credit and private equity. He will work closely with teams across HarbourVest’s global investment platform as the firm continues to build the investment, portfolio management and specialist capabilities supporting its growing suite of Evergreen solutions.

In his new role, Ranaldi will oversee portfolio construction and investment strategy for HarbourVest’s Private Credit Evergreen solutions, including credit secondaries and direct credit, investment monitoring, liquidity and risk management.

Ranaldi joins HarbourVest from Sixth Street, where he served as a Senior Advisor sourcing and evaluating opportunities across private credit. Previously, he founded Tucks Point Partners and held senior investment and portfolio management roles at Berkshire Partners and DDJ Capital Management. Ranaldi earned a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University.
