AHORA combines national coverage with Entravision’s strong local-market presence, integrating reporting and content from Miami, Orlando, McAllen, El Paso, Denver, Las Vegas and San Diego. Programming will cover breaking news, politics, immigration, the economy, public safety, health, weather, sports and the stories shaping Latino communities nationwide.

“AHORA reflects Entravision’s continued commitment to serving Hispanic audiences with news that is relevant, trusted and connected to their communities,” said María Martínez-Guzmán, President of Entravision. “By bringing together experienced journalists, the strength of our local news operations and innovative technology, we are creating a national platform that elevates the stories and voices of Latino communities across the country.”

“Our vision for AHORA is to create a news platform that feels national while remaining deeply connected to the local communities we serve,” said Arianna Requena, Vice President, Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives for Broadcast. “We want our audiences to see their communities, their concerns and their stories reflected in our coverage every day.”

EXPERIENCED JOURNALISTS LEADING AHORA

AHORA launches with a distinguished team of anchors whose careers span some of the most recognized news organizations in Spanish-language media:

Lourdes Del Río – A three-time National Emmy Award winner and 27-year veteran of TelevisaUnivision. Del Río began her career at WAPA-TV’s NotiCentro 4 in Puerto Rico and is widely recognized for her reporting on politics, immigration and community health.

Jorge Viera – An Emmy Award-winning journalist and five-time Golden Microphone recipient. Viera previously anchored New York’s No. 1 newscast, regardless of language, at Univision 41 and earned national recognition for his frontline coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic and international reporting.

Norma Ribeiro – A four-time Emmy Award-winning investigative journalist and anchor with more than two decades of experience in major U.S. markets. Her career includes roles with Univision’s KMEX and Primer Impacto, as well as Telemundo, with an extensive background in investigative and enterprise journalism.

Eduardo Padilla – An international news executive, anchor and reporter who has covered major national and international stories for Univision. A graduate of Emory University with an MBA from Cornell University, Padilla combines extensive journalism experience with a global and strategic perspective.

INTRODUCING LÍA: AI MEETS HUMAN JOURNALISM

LIA (Latina Inteligencia Artificial), a new AI-powered information companion joining Entravision AHORA, the company’s next-generation local news brand.

LIA will appear alongside trusted news anchors to enhance the viewing experience by delivering real-time information, weather updates, data visualizations, election results, explainers and other contextual content that helps viewers better understand the stories shaping their communities.

Unlike traditional virtual presenters, LIA is designed to complement—not replace—the role of journalists. Jorge remains the trusted editorial voice of the broadcast, while LIA enhances every story with real-time data, context and interactive storytelling.

A NEW MODEL FOR SPANISH-LANGUAGE NEWS

AHORA will originate from Entravision’s new Miami Operations Hub, utilizing a modern virtual production environment powered by Unreal Engine and AI-assisted workflows. Entravision’s McAllen operation will also support programming, creating an integrated production model that connects local newsrooms with the national platform.

The Miami hub will additionally produce NotiCentro Orlando, the new local newscast for WAPA Orlando, expanding the commitment to serving Central Florida’s growing Puerto Rican and Hispanic communities.

With AHORA, Entravision brings together national reach, local journalism, experienced talent and next-generation production technology to create a news platform centered on the voices, experiences and priorities of Hispanics across the United States.
