Mediacom Communications Announces Rebranding of MC22 to Mediacom Local

MEDIACOM PARK, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mediacom Communications today announced that its local community network, MC22, will be rebranded as Mediacom Local.

The new Mediacom Local brand reflects the company’s continued investment in local journalism and its commitment to providing communities with timely, relevant and trusted information. While the station’s name and visual identity will change, viewers can continue to expect the same dedication to local storytelling and community coverage that has defined MC22.

Under the Mediacom Local name, the station will continue to provide coverage of community events, public affairs, local sports, and other programming relevant to viewers throughout the communities it serves. The rebrand also creates a stronger connection between the local television station and the broader Mediacom brand.

“Mediacom Local is more than a new name,” said Kristi Salmon, Group Vice President of Marketing. “It is a reflection of who we are and who we have always been: a company with deep local roots. For over 30 years, we have been part of the communities we serve, telling their stories, showing up for local events and keeping people connected to the places they call home. With Mediacom Local, we are recommitting to that hometown focus and strengthening our role as a trusted, deeply embedded community resource.”

The Mediacom Local brand will be introduced across the station’s television presence, digital platforms and social media channels. Viewers will begin seeing the new name and branding on-air and online starting today.

The rebranding will not affect customers’ Mediacom cable, broadband or other services. Mediacom Local will remain available to eligible Mediacom customers as part of the company’s local programming offerings.
