Clinical Trial Results Show NeuraLight Biomarkers Predict Functional Decline in People With Parkinson’s Disease

New evidence from a multicenter trial shows that NeuraLight's biomarkers predict how Parkinson's progresses, extending the company's lead in precision brain measurement across drug development and brain health

NEW YORK & TEL AVIV, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NeuraLight, a leader in precision brain function biomarkers, today announced groundbreaking new data from a multicenter trial conducted in leading centers in Europe and the US.

Measuring how brain function changes over time remains one of neurology’s most difficult challenges. While clinical evaluations provide essential insight into observable signs, other meaningful changes emerge in how patients feel and function in daily life. In Parkinson’s disease, changes in daily function are especially important because they reflect how progression affects patients beyond the clinic.

This patient-centered view is increasingly important to the FDA. The gold-standard Parkinson’s disease assessment captures patients’ experiences of daily living, yet meaningful changes can be difficult to measure reliably over time. In this trial, NeuraLight’s biomarkers predicted changes in how patients experience the burden of the disease and were the first to demonstrate greater sensitivity than the gold-standard assessment in capturing those changes.

The PALOMA trial, a multicenter longitudinal study involving 250 adults across clinical sites in the US and Europe, used NeuraLight’s biomarkers to measure changes in brain function over time.

These results demonstrate that NeuraLight’s brain function biomarkers can predict deterioration before decline becomes visible when using conventional clinical assessments. The findings represent a groundbreaking advancement in brain health: the ability to connect subtle changes in brain function with meaningful declines in patients’ daily function. These capabilities can help determine whether interventions are working, track their impact over time, and support efforts to preserve brain health.
