Atlas Healthcare Physicians to Cover Cardio Diagnostics’ Precision Cardiovascular Medicine Tests Across Its Network
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cardio Diagnostics Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: CDIO), an AI-powered precision cardiovascular medicine company, announced that Atlas Healthcare Physicians (AHP), a community-driven, independent physician association (IPA) based in Southern California, will cover Cardio Diagnostics’ tests, Epi+Gen CHD™ and PrecisionCHD™, for their members with prior authorization beginning May 2026. AHP consists of an expansive network of primary care and specialists, hospitals, and ancillary providers serving managed care populations across Los Angeles and Orange County.
Providers will recommend Epi+Gen CHD™ or PrecisionCHD™ based on a patient’s medical history. Epi+Gen CHD™ assesses the three-year risk of a coronary heart disease (CHD) event, including a heart attack. PrecisionCHD™ aids in diagnosing CHD and provides the specific molecular drivers of CHD for each patient to help inform more personalized care.
Epi+Gen CHD™ and PrecisionCHD™ are simple, physician-ordered blood tests that do not require exposure to radiation or fasting. As a result, they seamlessly integrate into clinical workflows and do not require specialized infrastructure to administer.
“At Atlas Healthcare Physicians, we are committed to providing our physicians with innovative tools that support earlier detection, personalized treatment planning, and improved patient outcome,” said Tam Doan, MBA, Chief Operating Officer of Atlas Healthcare Physicians. “Our collaboration with Cardio Diagnostics reflects our shared commitment to expanding access to advanced cardiovascular diagnostics, empowering providers to make more informed clinical decisions, and helping patients better manager their heart health.”
“IPAs are uniquely positioned to drive better cardiovascular outcomes across their member populations and the right precision medicine tools can make a meaningful difference,” remarked Meesha Dogan, PhD, CEO and Co-Founder of Cardio Diagnostics. “By covering Epi+Gen CHD™ and PrecisionCHD™, AHP is giving its providers the ability to identify risk earlier, tailor care to each patient’s unique cardiovascular profile, and avoid costly downstream interventions that come from delayed or missed diagnoses. That’s a win for patients, for providers, and for the network.”
According to the California Department of Public Health, cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death in California — and the largest economic burden on the state. While cardiovascular care places a significant cost challenge at both a state and national level, the cost of delaying action until symptoms manifest is far greater. This partnership reflects Cardio Diagnostics’ continued expansion of access to precision cardiovascular medicine across the United States.
