BioIVT Names Sean Downing, PhD, to Scientific Advisory Board

Industry veteran will strengthen BioIVT's scientific strategy by advancing the quality, characterization, and applicability of biospecimens to meet emerging research needs

WOODBURY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BioIVT, the leading biospecimen solutions provider and global research partner for drug and diagnostic development, today announced it has appointed Sean Downing, PhD, to its Scientific Advisory Board to continue advancing the quality, characterization, and applicability of biospecimens. In addition, his appointment will enhance the integration of BioIVT’s richly annotated clinical data, multiomic insights, and biomarker expertise to enable more predictive and translationally relevant research.

Sean’s background includes holding biomarker and translational leadership roles in precision medicine across diagnostics, CROs, and biopharma in R&D and clinical development. He has led global biomarker strategy, CLIA/CAP lab operations, and cross-functional teams advancing medical devices, trials, and regulatory submissions, and most recently, served as the Vice President of Scientific Affairs for ICON plc.
