Karrier One Announces World’s First Secure Telecom Super App by Combining SCION, Sui Wallets, and AI-Powered Payments via zkLogin

New platform enables cryptographically secure voice calls, messaging, and global digital asset transfers using only a phone number.

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Karrier One, a decentralized telecom operator connecting Web3 and telecommunications, today announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind over-the-top (OTT) communication application that integrates three breakthrough technologies: cryptographic routing via the path-aware network security architecture SCION, programmable wallets on the Sui Layer 1 blockchain, and an embedded AI Butler assistant.

Karrier One Launches the World's First Telecom Super App Combining Secure Communications, AI, and On-Chain Payments Through a Single Phone Number

The new app allows users to make cryptographically secure voice calls, exchange messages, and transfer digital assets globally using nothing more than a phone number. By combining SCION, Sui, and AI into a single platform, Karrier One sets a new standard for secure communications and financial inclusion.

“This app is not just another messaging service,” said Samer Bishay, CEO of Karrier One. “We are redefining what secure communications means: voice calls carried over paths you can trust, identity and finance carried onchain via Sui, and user experience powered by AI that makes it effortless. Combined, that creates a sovereign telecom-Web3 stack that is uniquely empowering.”

The application is built on Sui, a high-performance blockchain designed to move money as freely as messages, purpose-built for scalable finance and global payments. SCION, developed by Professor Adrian Perrig, provides the underlying secure routing layer, ensuring that calls and data travel only across authenticated and trusted paths.

“The integration of SCION’s path-aware secure networking with Sui’s programmable identity and financial primitives in a consumer app represents a major step forward. Karrier One’s innovation indicates how Web3, telecom, and AI can converge to build a more secure and inclusive infrastructure for global communications and finance.”
— Prof. Adrian Perrig, Advisor, Mysten Labs

“Sui was built to power applications like Karrier One with daily utility, where identity, communications, and finance work together seamlessly onchain. By tying phone numbers directly to programmable wallets, Karrier One and Sui are anchoring secure communications and borderless payments in a scalable, global, and user-friendly experience.” – Adeniyi Abiodun, Co-Founder and CPO of Mysten Labs, the original contributor to Sui.

The app is available now as a free download on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Upon sign-up, users receive a SCION-secured phone number, a KNS-linked zkLogin wallet, and access to the AI Butler for natural-language transactions such as: “send 5 SUI to +1-xxx-xxx-xxxx.”

Pilot deployments will focus on remote and Indigenous communities in Northern Canada, rural U.S. regions, and selected international markets in Africa and Southeast Asia. These pilots aim to both bridge the digital divide and create on-ramps for global remittances and financial inclusion.
