IHI Board of Directors Elects Four New Members

Appointments bring expertise in global health, governance, technology, and clinical leadership

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) has added four new members to its Board of Directors, strengthening the organization’s leadership across global health, corporate governance, technology innovation, and clinical nursing leadership. The new appointees join a distinguished group of leaders who reflect the diverse communities and disciplines IHI is committed to serving.

The new Board members are:

Bill Hudson, MBA
Chief Information Officer, Hippocratic AI

Bill Hudson is a health care technology executive with more than 30 years of experience driving digital transformation across health systems. He focuses on applying technology, data, and innovation to improve care delivery, clinical operations, and organizational performance at scale. Hudson serves as Chief Information Officer at Hippocratic AI, where he leads integration engineering and strategic partnerships for the company's Agentic AI health care agents. He previously served as CIO at INTEGRIS Health and John Muir Health and has held executive leadership roles at VMware, Kettering Health, CTG, and Cerner Corporation.

Dr. Susan Kent is an internationally recognized nurse, midwife, and health care leader with experience spanning clinical practice, health system innovation, and global health. She has held senior leadership roles within Ireland’s Department of Health, including serving as one of the country’s first Deputy Chief Nursing Officers with responsibility for women’s health, child health, and primary care services. Dr. Kent has served as a consultant to the Chief Nursing Officer at the World Health Organization, where she led global quality initiatives focused on Basic Emergency Care, patient safety and system resilience. She is a passionate advocate for the future of nursing and midwifery as independent practitioners, and practices this role as the Founder and CEO of ArrowHealth, a nurse-led clinical service delivering hospital-level clinical nursing care in patients’ homes.

Linda McGoldrick, PhD, MBA, MSW, FRSM, FRSA

Dr. Linda McGoldrick is an international board director and global health care strategy leader with more than 30 years of experience advising organizations at the CEO and board level. She has worked across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Asia, supporting organizations through periods of growth, transformation, and increased regulatory complexity. Dr. McGoldrick brings expertise in corporate governance, organizational strategy, and performance improvement across health and life sciences sectors. She currently serves on multiple corporate and nonprofit boards internationally, contributing to effective oversight and strategic decision‑making.

Dr. Cynda Hylton Rushton is an internationally recognized nursing leader in bioethics, system transformation, and clinician well-being. She has led state and national initiatives to advance ethical practice, moral resilience, and compassionate care across health care settings. Dr. Rushton is a professor of clinical ethics, nursing, and pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University and has co-led landmark efforts to address clinician burnout and ethical challenges in care delivery. Her work centers on supporting clinicians and health systems in delivering care rooted in integrity, compassion, and trust.
