Agency of the Year Founder Greg Matusky Named EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2026 Greater Philadelphia Finalist
Recognition reflects Gregory’s 35 years of growth — from a one-client Philadelphia practice to one of the largest and most AI-enabled communications firms in the U.S.
PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Greg Matusky, founder of Gregory (the PR Daily Agency of the Year), has been named a finalist for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2026 Greater Philadelphia, one of the most prestigious awards recognizing high-growth entrepreneurs and business leaders.
“Greg has built something genuinely rare — a firm with the credibility of a 36-year track record and the agility of a startup,” said Joe Anthony, president and Greg’s partner at Gregory.

Now in its 40th year, the Entrepreneur Of The Year program honors founders and CEOs who demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and lasting impact — among them Howard Schultz of Starbucks, Eric Yuan of Zoom, and Kendra Scott.
Matusky has grown Gregory from a plywood desk in his basement into an international public relations firm that was named Agency of the Year by PR Daily last year. The firm currently has offices in Philadelphia, New York, Boston, and London. The firm’s other recognitions include PR PRSA’s Silver Anvil Award for Best AI Integration, PR Daily’s Content Marketing Agency of the Year, and a place among the Observer’s list of top technology and AI PR firms.
“Greg has built something genuinely rare — a firm with the credibility of a 36-year track record and the agility of a startup,” said Joe Anthony, president and Greg’s partner at Gregory. “He has always run ahead of the industry, and while most agency leaders were still talking about AI, he had our team building tools to advance the level of service we could offer clients. His vision has fueled client success and helped thousands of employees advance their careers.”
Gregory’s most recent success has been built on its early commitment to AI. While others were still evaluating the technology, Matusky gave employees the tools and training to start building. Gregory developed Gladwrite, its first AI writing platform, before the launch of ChatGPT. It has since added tools like Lumina, its media monitoring and reporting system, Gregory Influence Engine, which improves clients’ AI search visibility, and CrisisCalm, an AI-assisted crisis communications platform. The firm has held hundreds of internal AI training sessions to ensure the entire team has the skills and ability to use AI to advance client goals.
“The best part about building Gregory has been watching people grow into roles I couldn’t have imagined for them when I started,” said Matusky. “Every time someone on the team figures out a new way to use AI or wins a piece of coverage I wouldn’t have thought to pitch, I learn something new. This recognition belongs to the team as much as it does to me.”
Under Matusky’s leadership, Gregory has expanded, professionalized, and scaled its scope of services to offer an integrated approach to communications for clients in financial services, technology, real estate, supply chain and logistics, healthcare, and nonprofits. Gregory combines media relations, content creation, social media, digital marketing, and creative services, all supported with proprietary AI tools.
Entrepreneur Of The Year finalists are selected by an independent panel of judges based on their ability to drive growth, lead with purpose, and create long-term value. Winners will be announced at the Greater Philadelphia awards celebration on June 11.
