As part of its NCAA® partnership, GEICO has provided thousands of children with access to youth sports programs, celebrated local communities, and shared the inspiring stories behind elite athletes through its “Miles That Matter” branded docuseries

  • Through its NCAA partnership, GEICO has focused on creating sustained community impact by expanding access to youth sports, partnering with Good Sports and local Boys & Girls Clubs, and providing new equipment to thousands of children.
  • As the presenting sponsor of the NCAA Men’s Final Four® Dribble & Women’s Final Four® Bounce, GEICO brought thousands of young fans to the center of the Men’s and Women’s Final Four® weekends in Phoenix and Indianapolis for unique, family-friendly events.
  • WNBA legends Tamika Catchings and Sue Bird made special appearances at the Dribble & Bounce events, helping to inspire the next generation of athletes and reinforce the importance of community in sports.
  • These events capped a month-long campaign that included the launch of “Miles That Matter,” a new branded docuseries on Paramount+ celebrating the journeys of athletes like Azzi Fudd, Trey McKenney, and Napheesa Collier, and the communities that supported them.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As the echoes of the final buzzer fade on the college basketball season, GEICO is celebrating a victory that extends beyond the court: community-focused initiatives that created lasting impact and expanded opportunities for thousands of young people. As part of its longstanding partnership with the NCAA and anchored in the belief that access to play is access to possibility, GEICO leveraged the energy of March Madness to drive meaningful local impact - expanding access to youth sports and helping ‘insure’ that more children can build confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits through play.

"At GEICO, we focus on expanding access and supporting young people where it matters most, on and off the court, in the communities we serve." - Arianna Orpello, GEICO Chief Marketing Officer

The initiatives culminated during Final Four® weekend with the GEICO-presented Men’s Final Four® Dribble in Indianapolis and the Women’s Final Four® Bounce in Phoenix with the help of local associates in the markets volunteering to bring it to life. These high-energy, family-friendly events brought together thousands of young participants to dribble through city streets, placing them at the heart of the Final Four experience. Special appearances from Tamika Catchings in Indianapolis and Sue Bird in Phoenix added to the excitement, inspiring the next generation and reinforcing the importance of youth sports.

Rooted in a commitment to showing up where it matters most, GEICO, through a partnership with Good Sports and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, donated basketballs, footballs, and essential equipment to kids in Houston, San Diego, Phoenix, and Indianapolis, with additional investments in Phoenix and Indianapolis to fund and install new scoreboards for Club courts.

“This partnership is about real, lasting impact, not just showing up for a moment,” said Arianna Orpello, GEICO’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Sports help build confidence and character, and programs like NCAA Dribble & Bounce and our work with Boys & Girls Clubs turn that belief into action. At GEICO, we focus on expanding access and supporting young people where it matters most, on and off the court, in the communities we serve.”

Since 2010, GEICO has helped more than 41,000 young people access athletic equipment, apparel, and footwear, with employees playing a hands-on role through volunteering, equipment distribution, and direct engagement—demonstrating that with the right equipment and encouragement, kids are better positioned to develop their abilities, grow in self-assurance, and foster a sense of community through sports.

A narrative centerpiece of GEICO’s NCAA partnership this year was “Miles That Matter,” a branded docuseries on Paramount+ featuring athletes including 2025 NCAA Defending Champion and Final Four Most Outstanding Player Azzi Fudd, NCAA freshman guard Trey McKenney, and NCAA Champion and WNBA star Napheesa Collier. The series highlighted the journeys and support systems behind success, reinforcing GEICO’s commitment to being there for life’s important transitions.
