OXIO Sets the Foundation for Global Growth as TaaS Adoption Accelerates
- Surpassed 2 million activated lines while driving global adoption across underserved use cases like borderless MVNOs and M2M
- Secured FCC licensing and completed key platform integrations with AWS and Mavenir to strengthen its cloud-native TaaS foundation
- Honored with Frost & Sullivan’s Global TaaS Innovation Award and named a Top Solution Provider of 2025
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--OXIO, a leading Telecom-as-a-Service (TaaS) platform, closed 2025 with significant momentum, introducing new platform capabilities, achieving key regulatory milestones, and expanding adoption across innovative and underserved connectivity use cases. These accomplishments lay a strong foundation for continued global expansion in 2026.
“We’re at an inflection point in telecom,” said Nicolas Girard, CEO of OXIO. “For the first time, connectivity is being productized like software—programmable, cloud-native and built for innovators. Telecom is no longer a fixed utility; it’s a source of identity, intelligence and innovation. Unlike MVNEs, we’re giving companies a programmable foundation to invent new, on-demand experiences that are secure, data-driven and global by design. We aren’t just following industry trends, we’re setting them. The innovation we’ve driven with our partners and across our telecom core, product, and operations sets the stage for what comes next. In 2026, the world will see what OXIO’s Telecom-as-a-Service can really do.”
Over the past year, OXIO surpassed 2 million activated lines and made targeted investments in product innovation and customer experience. During this period, the company also announced strategic partnerships with AWS and Mavenir to further strengthen its platform and ecosystem.
Powering Unique and Underserved Use Cases Across Industries
By abstracting telecom complexity, OXIO empowers companies to deploy connectivity for use cases that have historically been impossible to support.
- Borderless MVNOs: OXIO enables MVNOs to launch mobile plans on a single, unified network. This eliminates the complexity of cost and fragmented regional infrastructure while accelerating global expansion.
- Modern Identity Verification: As legacy methods like 2FA and OTPs reach their limits, OXIO’s eSIM authentication introduces a cryptographically secure network-level trust layer, delivering strong, low-friction authentication for enterprises and their users above and beyond current solutions and telco-only identification models.
- Regulated Financial Communications: In partnership with fintech software companies, OXIO’s cloud-native core network enables banks to record, control and enforce communications across SMS, MMS, voice and encrypted channels through a single integration. Unlike third-party apps or legacy carrier solutions, OXIO enables compliance directly at the network layer, aligning with regulations and simplifying operations.
- Global M2M Connectivity OXIO’s universal SIM and global network deliver secure, borderless connectivity for machine-to-machine (M2M) deployments. Enterprises, VARs, and equipment providers can streamline logistics and accelerate scale with a single integrated solution that eliminates the complexity of managing local carrier contracts and multiple SIM SKUs to provide worldwide connectivity and routing solutions at much lower cost and complexity.
Notable Industry Awards and Milestones
OXIO’s growth was matched by industry recognition and meaningful milestones that underscore the company's trajectory and vision.
- OXIO was honored with Frost & Sullivan’s Global Telecom-as-a-Service Transformational Innovation Leadership Award for its cloud-native innovation, programmable connectivity, and customer enablement.
- The company was named to The Fast Mode 100 – Top Solution Providers of 2025, joining a select group of global technology leaders, including MATRIXX and Mavenir.
- OXIO won the Cloud Innovation category at the Global Connectivity Awards 2025.
- Earlier this year, OXIO received its FCC license, becoming the first cloud-native, multi-carrier wholesale network and TaaS platform approved by the regulator.
- In 2025, OXIO also completed VoLTE certification for the United States, expanding its operational capabilities in this key market.
Platform Development and Operational Excellence
To support rapid customer growth and remove operational complexity, OXIO sustained strong investments in product development across customer support, digital experiences, and core MVNO and M2M capabilities.
- BrandVNO® MVNO: OXIO launched U.S. mobile apps for iOS and Android, a unified web experience for onboarding, eSIM activation, plan management and enhanced customer controls. The company enriched its payments capabilities and launched OXIO as a fully managed MVNO service, enabling faster launches and simpler operations at scale with OXIO as the carrier of record.
- BrandVNO® M2M capabilities: OXIO strengthened its machine-to-machine (M2M) device offering with enhancements, including additional M2M management functionality to reduce merchant and enterprise fraud and device misuse across value-added reseller ecosystems, as well as advanced capabilities to support large, distributed device deployments. Global M2M activations on the OXIO network increased by nearly 20% in the second half of the year.
- Customer Operations: The business scaled a turnkey 7-day-a-week omnichannel customer support model (chat, social, email, inbound and outbound calls), with newly implemented Level 1–Level 3 support and escalation workflows. This enables faster resolution, greater efficiency, and a fully outsourced support solution for customers operating as MVNOs.
