Wilson & Company Celebrates National Nonprofit Day with Launch of Higher Giving Philanthropy Program

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In recognition of National Nonprofit Day, a day that celebrates the positive impact nonprofits make in communities across the country, Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects, is proud to announce the successful launch of its new corporate philanthropy initiative, Higher Giving.

Set in the firm’s culture of Higher Relationships, Higher Giving reflects Wilson & Company’s commitment to giving back to the communities where its employees live and work. This new program paired each of the firm’s offices with a local nonprofit that aligns with the passions of its staff. The company initiated the program with corporate donations to each selected organization and challenged employees to match or exceed that contribution.

The results were outstanding. Wilson & Company employees embraced the opportunity to make a local impact by contributing to meaningful causes such as service dog programs for veterans, local food banks, affordable housing initiatives, and more. The selected charities included:

• Mary’s Mercy Center
• Victory Service Dogs
• Adam’s Camp
• Loveland Habitat for Humanity

• Salina Food Bank
• Ozarks Food Harvest
• Society of St. Vincent de Paul
• Active Minds (supported earlier in the year through participation in the Colfax Marathon relay)

In total, Wilson & Company and its employees contributed more than $75,000 to these organizations.
