“Great creative has been a hallmark of University of Phoenix,” says Chief Marketing Officer Steve Gross. “It’s rewarding to see the team continue to produce excellent work that generates results and then get honored with these two ADDY awards.”

The ADDY® Awards, presented in two distinct categories—Elements of Advertising (Video Editing) and Film, Video, and Online Sound Branded Content (Entertainment)—were awarded for the University’s “The New Workforce” and “Driven” campaigns, respectively.

“At University of Phoenix, our success is a testament to the collaborative spirit and innovative approach of our entire team,” shares Senior Creative Director Chad Garnes. “By deeply understanding our audience and focusing on impactful storytelling, we’ve been able to create engaging content that resonates with our community.”

According to the AAF, the ADDY® Awards represent the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 25,000 entries every year in local AAF Ad Club competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards is to recognize the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. Conducted annually by the AAF, the local tier of the American Advertising Awards is the first of a three-tier, national competition. At the second tier of the competition, which University of Phoenix will enter, local ADDY® winners compete against winners from other local clubs in one of 15 district competitions. District ADDY® winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national stage of the American Advertising Awards.

Selection of the most creative entry at each level is determined by a scoring process in which a panel of judges evaluates all creative dimensions of every entry. A Gold ADDY® is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the category. Entries that are also considered outstanding and worthy of recognition receive a Silver ADDY®.

University of Phoenix previously received ADDY® awards from the Phoenix Chapter in 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2020.
