Porter Inaugurates Ottawa - Winnipeg Route

Frequency also doubling across multiple western markets from Ottawa

OTTAWA, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Porter Airlines is celebrating non-stop service between Ottawa International Airport (YOW) and Winnipeg Richardson International Airport (YWG), beginning today with one daily roundtrip flight.

The introduction of this route offers travellers seamless connectivity between Manitoba and Porter’s extensive Eastern Canada network out of Ottawa. The service connects with Boston, Charlottetown, Fredericton, Halifax, Moncton, New York, Thunder Bay, Toronto-Pearson, Toronto-City and St John’s through Ottawa.

Porter is also adding more frequency on its Ottawa - Western Canada routes in response to high demand. Service between Ottawa and Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary has also doubled this month to two daily roundtrip flights.

By summer, Porter will operate 16 non-stop routes out of Ottawa.

Flights between YOW and Western Canada are operated on Porter’s new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. Configured in a two-by-two seating arrangement, there are no middle seats on any Porter flight. Passengers on this route will also enjoy Porter’s renowned hospitality, with complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, premium snacks, and fast, free WiFi for everyone.
