71 Remote Patient Monitoring Companies Earn Highest Certification for Healthcare Excellence from Smart Meter in 2023

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Smart Meter, the number one supplier of Cellular Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM)™, has confirmed that 71 out of 867 RPM healthcare distributors have earned the highest level of certification for delivering exceptional service to providers, patients, and healthcare systems in 2023. These companies include RPM service providers and Chronic Care Management (CCM) platforms that have met or exceeded Smart Meter’s criteria for quality, reliability, and customer service.

RPM and CCM companies continue to grow in their importance in transforming healthcare delivery. Research shows that providers and patients are becoming reliant on the benefits of measuring vital signs in the comfort of their homes. In a recent study by BlueStar Telehealth, hypertension patients enrolled in an RPM program with Smart Meter’s iBloodPressure® lowered their systolic reading on average from 153 to 137 mmHg within 10 weeks1. And in a Howard University study of patients with diabetes using Smart Meter’s iGlucose®, 70% of high-risk participants lowered their A1c by an average of 2.8% within 90 days2.

The Certified SmartPartner program provides select Smart Meter distribution partners with enhanced benefits helping them expand their customer base and the number of patients they support and helps them reduce some of their operating costs by leveraging sales and marketing support services, expedited operations and logistics, public relations, case studies, clinical studies, and more.

SmartPartners have access to proprietary cellular monitoring devices supporting a range of chronic conditions. These cellular-enabled devices are securely connected to Smart Meter’s Private Data Network for RPM, the only one in the United States, enabling SmartPartners to deliver the industry's most patient-friendly, home-based monitoring solutions. This means the physicians and care teams using the SmartPartner network can trust that the health data generated by their patients is securely delivered to them in real time, without data security risks or HIPAA issues.

“Our RPM and CCM SmartPartners are the most innovative and knowledgeable organizations providing critical healthcare monitoring technology and services to care providers,” said Casey Pittock, CEO of Smart Meter. “The Certified SmartPartner program is based on the best practices we have identified in our extensive experience working with RPM and CCM companies. We blend our expertise with other recognized health technology criteria to identify the best of the best. The tools and services available through our special Certified SmartPartner program will be an asset in helping our customers continue providing quality healthcare solutions.”
