Simeon Irvine to transition out of Syniverse mid-February

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Syniverse, “the world’s most connected company”®, today announced that Bill Sansalone will join Syniverse as its Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Sansalone replaces Simeon Irvine, who joined the company in 2019 as Senior Vice President of Business Transformation and was promoted to CFO in March of 2021. Bill Sansalone’s role is effective immediately. Simeon Irvine will work with Bill, Syniverse’s cross-functional leadership team, and the finance organization on transitional matters until mid-February.

“Simeon has been a valued member of the Syniverse leadership team, making numerous contributions in our business transformation, and especially as an instrumental leader in completing our strategic investment partnership with Twilio in May of 2022,” remarked Andrew Davies, Chief Executive Officer, Syniverse. “Based in the U.K., he’s admirably made these contributions, and many more, while working across both the European and U.S. time zones, no easy feat for anyone.”

Bill Sansalone brings more than 40 years of experience in financial leadership roles in the telecommunications industry, having spent more than 37 years with Verizon. In his role, he will lead Syniverse’s global financial operations, including Business Performance, Reporting, and Controls; Strategic Sourcing; Audit and Tax; and Strategy functions. Based out of the company’s global corporate headquarters, he will report directly to Andrew Davies, Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Sansalone progressively advanced in his career through the leadership ranks at Verizon in both the Wireless Division and Consumer Group, a division that provides consumer-focused wireless and wireline communication products and services. In his most recent role, he was Vice President, Financial Field Operations, Consumer. He led all consumer channel financial planning and sales channel analysis, sales quota setting, third-party agent compensation, and customer services financial support. His prior roles within the Wireless division include VP Field Finance Operations; Vice President, Commercial Finance; VP and Controller, Area CFO, and others.

“Bill is an experienced, results-oriented, financial executive. Throughout his career, he’s consistently driven measurable results with his strong business acumen – examining and quickly comprehending complex business situations to take decisive action to create investor and shareholder value,” remarked Andrew Davies. “Bill has a true talent for aligning people, processes, and technology to help an enterprise achieve its objectives. He will be a strong addition to our leadership team."

In addition to his many other qualifications, Bill Sansalone has worked as a strategic consultant and advisor with Syniverse in recent years. He has a thorough knowledge of the business’ financials and operational objectives as he steps into this role. Mr. Sansalone has an MBA in Finance and Economics from the University of South Florida, he’s a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of multiple financial industry associations, including FICPA and AICPA.

“I couldn’t be more pleased to be joining the Syniverse team,” remarked Bill Sansalone. “I’ve long since respected the work that Syniverse does to seamlessly connect the world’s multiplying networks, enterprises, and smart devices.
