The Retina Center of Charleston Joins the US Eye Network

CHARLESTON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dr. Lowrey King, founder of The Retina Center of Charleston, has joined the US Eye network.

King has been practicing in Charleston for over 32 years and is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has volunteered his time and expertise to enrich industry organizations, formerly acting as President for both the South Carolina Society of Ophthalmology and the Charleston Ophthalmological Society. He is a current member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and the Charleston Ophthalmological Society. Additionally, he has authored numerous ophthalmology journal articles, book chapters, and has trained over 35 ophthalmology residents during his time as a faculty member at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).

“Dr. King is a revered retina provider in the Lowcountry, and a colleague whom I greatly respect. His expertise and commitment to his patients is second to none and we are excited to have him affiliated with our parent company,” said Kerry Solomon, M.D., US Eye Physicians Advisory Board member and Medical Director of Carolina Eyecare Physicians.

Through the US Eye partnership, The Retina Center of Charleston will augment services currently supplied by US Eye’s local brand, Carolina Eyecare Physicians, a multi-specialty, multi-location ophthalmology practice based out of Charleston, SC.

“I feel very privileged to be asked to partner with the US Eye member platform at large. I have grown my practice by always focusing on my patients and creating a warm and welcoming environment. I was delighted to learn that the US Eye patient care model is driven by that same philosophy,” said King.
