US Eye Successful in Opening New Operating Room at Center For Visual Surgical Excellence

CHESAPEAKE, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--US Eye is proud to announce the opening of a second ophthalmic operating room at the Center For Visual Surgical Excellence (CVSE), an outpatient ambulatory surgery center located in Chesapeake, VA.

Recognizing rapid growth in the area, US Eye successfully obtained a Certificate of Public Need from the Virginia Department of Health to open a second operating room at CVSE. The approval was received and the project was completed after months of extensive market research, patient needs analysis, and internal planning.

CVSE is one of five US Eye ambulatory surgery centers, all five of which are AAAHC-certified, meaning each center has completed an extensive self-assessment and on-site survey. The review is performed by AAAHC expert surveyors, which include physicians, nurses, and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory health care. The AAAHC-accreditation is the gold standard for ambulatory surgery centers and indicates that US Eye surgery centers have met nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care.
