IABC Joins The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management

Under new Executive Director Peter Finn, the International Association of Business Communicators expands its global reach, helps elevate the profession

CHICAGO--()--The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) today announced it has joined the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management. By joining the Global Alliance, IABC members will have the chance to expand their network and have access to programming and content with peers across the world.

“Our mission is to unify the public relations profession through shared knowledge across our 300,000 members and to raise the standards of our profession globally,” said Justin Green, President of the Global Alliance. “IABC is a leading voice in advancing the profession and we are proud to have their participation and membership within our Global Alliance family.”

IABC joins the Global Alliance under new Executive Director Peter Finn. Along with Bonnie Caver, Chair of the International Executive Board, IABC continues to work to improve its member experience overall, and joining the Global Alliance is among the first of many operational initiatives IABC has planned for the upcoming year.

“Our goal over the next year is to position IABC for growth through the development of a new strategic plan and an intense focus on creating more value for members,” said Finn. “We will strive to be agile, strategic and innovative with an emphasis on serving all members — what we call ‘member care.’”

IABC serves professionals in the field of business communication, bringing together the profession’s collective disciplines. Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the association supports its global community with innovative thinking, shared best practices, in-depth learning, and career guidance.
