DULUTH, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WorkWell Prevention & Care (“WorkWell”), a leader in soft tissue injury prevention and physical therapy treatment, today announced the transition of corporate operations to Duluth, Minnesota. The move marks a return of leadership operations to Duluth, where the company was founded in 1991.
“Our brand is accelerating forward in many ways,” said Kevin Schmidt, senior vice president of enterprise solutions. “Moving our leadership operations to Duluth is a significant step in our journey to deliver cost effective, outcome-focused solutions for our customers. This move will continue to set us apart in our industry by encouraging innovation that focuses on outcomes and return to work solutions to reduce overall cost and time lost on the job.”
Effective immediately, the company will close the San Diego based diagnostic and physical therapy network referral and management subsidiary, NextImage Medical. “We are taking this step to concentrate our resources on WorkWell,” George W. Vieth, Jr., CEO, stated. “WorkWell has trained thousands of therapists over the last 27 years. Focusing our efforts on WorkWell’s leadership position in the industry will create more opportunities for continued growth.”
NextImage Medical will discontinue receiving diagnostic and physical therapy referrals as of July 8, 2016 and will work with current clients to transition open cases back to the referral source.
