Spectro Cloud Names Mike Gannon Chief Revenue Officer and Peter Finter Chief Marketing Officer to Lead Global Hybrid AI Expansion

Former VMware and Snowflake sales leader and four-time CMO join following $100M+ Series D

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Spectro Cloud, the hybrid AI infrastructure company, today announced the appointments of Mike Gannon as chief revenue officer and Peter Finter as chief marketing officer.

The appointments follow a Series D funding round of more than $100 million in July and the opening of new offices in London and, shortly, Washington, D.C., alongside key hires and partnerships in the Middle East.

Spectro Cloud’s PaletteAI platform gives enterprises, public sector organizations and cloud providers a single software foundation for hybrid AI: from metal to token, and from one cluster to fleets of thousands.

“Enterprises are making decisions now that will shape their AI infrastructure for decades to come,” said Tenry Fu, co-founder and CEO of Spectro Cloud. “AI workloads span environments, from physical AI at the far edge, to local inference, to clouds and AI factories. In the last era, virtualization needed a common software foundation. Hybrid AI needs one now, and that’s what we’re building. Mike helped make VMware that foundation for a generation of enterprises, and he knows how these buyers make platform decisions. Peter has built categories and scaled marketing at technology companies through every stage of growth.”

Gannon will lead global revenue strategy, expanding Spectro Cloud’s sales, channel and alliances. Over nearly three decades in enterprise infrastructure, he has built and led high-performing sales teams through major technology shifts. He has a track record of operating at scale and leveraging partner ecosystems to support enterprise client needs. During almost ten years at VMware, he led go-to-market for vSAN, building its OEM business and joint sales motions with leading server vendors that helped vSAN reach a $1 billion annual revenue run rate. He rose to senior vice president and general manager of the Americas, and most recently served as chief revenue officer at Snowflake.

“The AI conversation has shifted from what’s possible to what’s sustainable,” said Gannon. “As enterprises move inference into production, they want to contain costs, run open-weight models on their own terms, and enforce consistent governance across their data centers, the cloud and the edge. Spectro Cloud gives them that control on a single platform, and my focus is bringing it to more of the world’s largest enterprises and building out the channel and alliance partnerships that serve them.”

Finter will lead global marketing, building Spectro Cloud’s leadership in hybrid AI and driving demand across enterprise, public sector and cloud provider customers. He has served as chief marketing officer four times, most recently at KX and previously at CyberGRX, Couchbase and Gigamon, spanning data, networking and security technology. In those roles he built new categories and scaled go-to-market through IPO and acquisition.

“AI is moving from building factories to running them,” said Finter. “Every enterprise now has to decide where each AI workload runs and what it costs. That’s a new category of infrastructure decision, and Spectro Cloud has the platform and the customer proof to lead it. Our job is to give every infrastructure leader what they need to make that decision with confidence.”

From AI factories to inference at the edge

Spectro Cloud’s vision for hybrid AI spans AI factories serving enterprise and sovereign workloads, local inference deployments, and physical AI operating at the edge. Its software gives customers a consistent way to manage these environments while retaining choice over hardware and AI models.

“Major enterprises are now deciding how to run AI across their own data centers, the edge and the cloud, and the software that ties those environments together will be one of the defining platforms of this era,” said Mike Reilly, Managing Director, Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, and a member of Spectro Cloud’s board. “Spectro Cloud has the technology, and customers running it in production. Mike and Peter bring the experience of building and scaling enterprise platforms globally, which is what the company needs for its next stage of growth.”
