Spectro Cloud Earns FedRAMP Class C Certification for Managing Infrastructure at Scale

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Spectro Cloud today announced that its Palette VerteX infrastructure management platform has achieved FedRAMP® Class C (Moderate) certification, following GovRAMP authorization earlier this summer.

Infrastructure management for today’s technology landscape

Federal agencies today face challenges managing infrastructure for an ever more diverse range of applications and environments: from legacy virtual machine workloads in the sovereign data center or multicloud, to containers and AI at the far edge.

Palette VerteX provides agencies with a truly unified management experience across all workloads and environments, without compromising security, efficiency or choice. Today’s FedRAMP certification demonstrates that Palette VerteX has been independently assessed against trusted security standards.

“Government missions don’t fit neatly inside one cloud,” said Matt Heideman, vice president of public sector at Spectro Cloud. “Agencies need to keep critical VM applications running while bringing containers and AI into production. They need infrastructure that can follow the mission into a data center or out to the tactical edge. We built VerteX for that reality. This FedRAMP milestone gives federal buyers stronger assurance in the platform behind it.”

Full-stack automation for consistency at scale

Palette VerteX manages the full infrastructure stack, from the operating system and Kubernetes distribution to the application and AI models. Reusable cluster profiles let teams define approved configurations and maintain them across fleets, reducing the manual work of keeping environments consistent as software changes.

Support for virtual machines alongside containers gives agencies a practical path to modernization without requiring every application to be rewritten. GPU-enabled Kubernetes infrastructure supports AI training and inference, extending the same approach to a new generation of mission workloads.

The FedRAMP certification covers the Palette VerteX SaaS offering. VerteX also supports self-hosted and air-gapped deployments for environments that require local control.

A strong track record of security commitments

Today’s announcement adds to Spectro Cloud’s security credentials supporting customers in the United States and Europe, including ISO 27001:2022 certification, GovRAMP, TX-RAMP, SOC 2 Type II attestation and UK Cyber Essentials Plus certification. VerteX incorporates Spectro Cloud’s FIPS 140-3 validated cryptographic library.

"Earning FedRAMP Class C has been years in the making, and is the most important milestone yet in our ongoing security and compliance journey,” said Joi Frederick, Senior Manager Security, Privacy, Compliance at Spectro Cloud. “It took incredible grit from folks across engineering, product, and compliance and I am proud of the possibilities we can now unlock for our customers and partners across the public sector."

Since introducing VerteX in 2023, Spectro Cloud has expanded its government presence to production deployments across the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force, plus defense primes such as Airbus Defence and Space, the intelligence community, sovereign clouds, and organizations in regulated industries. The company has also earned the AWS Government Software Competency and “Awardable” status on the Platform One and CDAO Tradewinds Solutions Marketplaces.

Agencies are invited to contact Spectro Cloud’s government team to see VerteX in action, or request information via the FedRAMP Marketplace and GovRAMP Authorized Product List (APL). VerteX is available to purchase via the AWS Marketplace, the P1 Marketplace, and the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace, as well as via Spectro Cloud’s network of specialist channel partners.
