Michael Gottlieb Joins Shifty as Strategic Advisor and Investor

Former EY restaurant practice leader to advise as Shifty serves operators and expands with emerging and enterprise brands

DETROIT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Shifty, a restaurant engagement and operations platform serving more than 1,500 locations, announced that Michael Gottlieb has joined Shifty as a strategic advisor and investor.

Gottlieb began his career as a restaurant operator and brings over 39 years of business leadership. He spent 36 years at Ernst & Young, where he was an audit partner and leader of the global restaurant practice. He is Managing Director, National Hospitality Advisory, at CohnReznick.

Gottlieb will advise as Shifty serves emerging brands and expands with large multi-unit restaurant operators. His experience will help Shifty understand larger groups’ priorities and assess where its platform can help. He will connect Shifty with industry leaders and operators.

Gottlieb is a frequent speaker at industry events, including the Restaurant Finance & Development Conference, National Restaurant Association events, Restaurant Leadership Conference and Prosper Forum. He will attend this year’s Restaurant Finance & Development Conference, Nov. 9–11 in Las Vegas. The Consulting Report named him a 2023 Top 25 Travel and Hospitality Consultant and Leader.
