CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lubrizol earned an EcoVadis Gold Medal, placing the organization among the top 5% of companies assessed by EcoVadis across all industries worldwide in the 12 months preceding its scorecard publication. For customers who use EcoVadis to evaluate suppliers, the assessment provides independent evidence of Lubrizol’s sustainability management system to support supplier evaluations and responsible sourcing.

The distinction marks another milestone in the company’s continued work to embed responsible business practices into how it operates, innovates and partners with customers.

Lubrizol’s latest sustainability report, Global Impact, Local Action, published June 2026, shows how the organization translates global priorities into practical, localized actions across manufacturing sites, laboratories and communities.

Progress in 2025 includes:

• Assessing all new corporate innovation projects against its Sustainable Solutions Criteria, embedding climate impact, resource conservation and circularity into development decisions
• Reducing combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 18% compared with a 2018 baseline
• Reducing waste sent to landfill by 15% compared with a 2018 baseline, alongside continued efforts to improve processes, reuse materials and increase recycling
• Capabilities developed to support customer decision-making, including its Product Sustainability Dashboard, which calculates product carbon footprints and lifecycle assessments that help identify environmental impacts and improvement opportunities
• Locally led projects across its manufacturing network—from vacuum dewatering in Zhuhai, China, to material recycling in Turbhe, India—illustrating how teams are improving resource efficiency while supporting operational reliability

EcoVadis Gold follows other 2026 recognitions for Lubrizol’s safety and corporate responsibility. Thirteen Lubrizol U.S. sites received the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® Facility Safety Award, recognizing chemical manufacturing safety and operational performance. Lubrizol also received Distinction in the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore’s AmCham CARES recognition for corporate and social excellence.
