Woodford Reserve Introduces Double Oaked Rye

VERSAILLES, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Woodford Reserve announced the launch of its newest innovation, Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Rye Whiskey.

This new expression represents a bold advancement, bringing the double barreling process to rye whiskey. It will be a permanent member of the Woodford Reserve family of brands, available across the nation.

Following the global success Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon, Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Rye is crafted by taking fully matured Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey and re-barreling it into a separate, custom-crafted second oak barrel for up to 12 months. This unique second barrel is heavily toasted and lightly charred, extracting additional flavors from the wood.
