Philadelphia Business Journal Honors Rob Delany Among Region’s Most Admired CEOs

Delany, who leads Pennsylvania’s largest EITC scholarship organization, is one of 26 executives honored with this prestigious award across Greater Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Philadelphia Business Journal has named BLOCS CEO Rob Delany one of its Most Admired CEOs of 2026, recognizing him among the region’s top leaders for innovation, financial performance, vision and community impact.

According to The Philadelphia Business Journal (PBJ), it received hundreds of nominations for this year’s program. The PBJ editorial board reviewed each one for professional achievement, contributions to the community and overall impact on a region of more than 5 million people. Twenty-six executives were selected.

“Rob is a visionary and we are thrilled to see him recognized with this award,” said Matt McFillin, BLOCS Board of Directors Chairman. “Rob knows the names of the principals, he shows up for the families, and he never forgets there’s a student behind every scholarship. In two years he has more than doubled BLOCS’ scholarship reach. This honor is well deserved and we are proud of his accomplishments.”

Under Delany’s leadership, BLOCS is awarding just under $250 million in need-based scholarships to more than 43,000 students for the 2026-27 school year, with 99 cents of every dollar going directly to students.

“I am honored to share this recognition with our school partners, our donors, the BLOCS board and all of the families who trust us with their children’s futures,” Delany said. “Every scholarship opens a door and broadens a future. I am proud of my team and the people that make it happen every day.”

Delany lives in Horsham, Montgomery County, Pa., with his family.

BLOCS is the leading scholarship organization dedicated to raising need-based scholarships through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.
