Philips Sonicare Next-Generation DiamondClean 9900 Prestige Is Now Available On Amazon; The Brand’s Most Advanced, Intelligent Toothbrush That Gives Users Real-Time Guidance Alongside Signature Brushing Performance

On-handle AI offers real-time coverage guidance, answering research showing 82% of Americans multitask during bedtime routines, leaving teeth vulnerable to missed spots, plaque buildup and gum disease.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) announced that the Philips Sonicare Next-Generation DiamondClean 9900 Prestige, its most advanced and intelligent toothbrush to date, is available now on Amazon. Unveiled in July 2026, the new toothbrush enables people to see their brushing performance through on-device mouth map and real-time spatially aware guidance. As the No. 1 dentist-recommended power toothbrush brand in the U.S., Philips Sonicare draws on the company’s more than five decades of oral care expertise and deep clinical and health technology heritage, entering a new era in personalized oral care.

In a recent Sonicare user test, 85% of testers agreed that the Next-Generation DiamondClean 9900 Prestige toothbrush helped improve their brushing, while 92% agreed that Smart Coverage Feedback helped them become more aware of cleaned and uncleaned areas.*

"People should feel confident that their toothbrush helps them achieve a great clean every time, especially given the established connection between oral health and overall health," said Matina Vidalis, Regional Business Unit Leader, Oral Healthcare, Philips Personal Health North America. “Grounded in more than 50 years of oral care expertise and clinical heritage, our Next-Generation DiamondClean brings highly intuitive coaching directly to the handle. Its Smart Mouth Map and light indicators guide users as they brush, helping them see and address missed spots in real time without an app, in a design that reflects the premium craftsmanship people expect from Philips Sonicare.”

The launch comes as new research shows brushing competes for attention at bedtime. According to a recent Philips Sonicare ‘Distracted Nighttime Brushing Study,’** conducted in May 2026, 82% of Americans multitask during their nighttime routines, rising to 92% among adults under 40, and 47% say they rush through brushing as a result. People surveyed also highlight a critical gap where confidence doesn’t always mean full coverage: while 91% of Americans say their teeth feel clean after brushing, 66% believe they miss areas.

Solving the guesswork with on-device AI and real-time guidance

Powered by Philips Sonicare's third-generation AI and machine learning technology, the Philips Sonicare Next-Generation DiamondClean 9900 Prestige transforms brushing from guesswork into a data-driven, guided routine:

  • Instant Feedback on Brushing Habits: The innovative light ring guidance system provides real-time, on-handle feedback on coverage, pressure, and scrubbing patterns during each brushing session
  • No More Guesswork: 12-Segment on-handle Smart Mouth Map displays exactly which areas have been cleaned and alerts users to missed spots that need attention
  • SenseIQ Smart Pressure Sensing: Automatically adapts intensity to help protect gums from over-brushing
  • 8 Personalized Modes and 3 Intensities: Users can customize their experience with instant feedback via the light ring
  • Freedom to choose: Choose the toothpaste and mouthwash you prefer or your dental professional recommends
  • Built for travel: Accompanying rechargeable travel case allows you to easily bring your Sonicare with you on-the-go
