Comcast Completes Washington County, Pennsylvania Expansion Connecting Thousands to High-Speed Internet for the First Time

Fiber-Powered Xfinity & Comcast Business Services Now Available Across Northwestern and Southeastern Washington County

WASHINGTON, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Comcast has completed a network expansion project that now offers Xfinity and Comcast Business services to more than 2,300 previously unserved homes and businesses across Washington County, Pennsylvania. Residents and business owners now have access to multi-gigabit, symmetrical Internet, mobile, entertainment, home security and advanced business connectivity solutions from America’s smartest and most reliable, converged network. The project was made possible through a public-private partnership with the county and funded in part by American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds allocated to expand access to high-speed Internet.

For years, many residents and businesses in Washington County have had limited access to reliable high-speed Internet. Now, more communities in northwestern and southeastern Washington County can connect to the same fiber-powered network that serves more than 65 million homes and businesses nationwide – a major milestone in bringing Xfinity services to communities that have historically had limited connectivity options.
