BioIVT to Showcase New Research Across Fall Scientific Event Circuit

Experts will present practical approaches for studying GLP-1 therapeutics, metabolic disease, New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), and complex drug modalities

Through presentations, posters, and an upcoming webinar, BioIVT experts will address emerging questions related to GLP-1 therapeutics, metabolic disease, New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), and targeted protein degraders.

A focal point of BioIVT’s fall program will be the 27^th North American ISSX Meeting, which takes place October 11-14 in San Francisco, CA. Through a breakfast symposium and three scientific posters, BioIVT scientists will share research on complex peptide metabolism, low-turnover reaction phenotyping, and translational models of metabolic disease. Joanna Barbara, PhD, General Manager of ADME Services at BioIVT, will lead the breakfast symposium, “Advancing In Vitro Approaches to Explore Tissue Metabolism of Complex Peptide Therapeutics: A GLP-1 Case Study,” on October 13 from 7:15-8:15 am.

BioIVT will extend the discussion around GLP-1 therapeutics and metabolic disease through a live webinar, “Advancing Metabolic Disease Drug Development: Translational Models and a GLP-1 Receptor Agonist Metabolism Case Study,” on October 22 at 11 am ET. Dr. Joanna Barbara and Brian Ogilvie, PhD, Vice President of Scientific Consulting at BioIVT, will discuss the biological relationships among obesity, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), along with how disease-state biospecimens, primary cells, subcellular fractions, HEPATOPAC, and in vitro ADME services can support metabolic disease programs.
