KCC Expands Workflow Automation and Integration with Release of RiskInsight® Version 4.16

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--KCC is pleased to announce the release of RiskInsight® 4.16, the latest evolution in open loss modeling software. RiskInsight 4.16 expands workflow automation through enhanced API capabilities, faster analysis performance, and significant reductions in database storage requirements.

RiskInsight’s extensive API suite supports integration with modeling, underwriting, and portfolio management systems, enabling (re)insurers to seamlessly integrate the KCC models into existing workflows. Version 4.16 expands those capabilities with new API endpoints for result set management, automatic application of reinsurance treaties within analysis workflows, and automated characteristic event (CE) profile generation. The release also introduces an extensive set of Importer API endpoints that automate the import process entirely, from uploading source exposure data to managing and monitoring ongoing portfolio import jobs.

These enhancements streamline portfolio import, processing, and analysis while supporting deeper integration with existing analytical and operational workflows.

“RiskInsight 4.16 represents a significant advancement in automation, performance, and scalability,” said Marshall Pagano, KCC Vice President. “The platform’s extensive API capabilities help (re)insurers automate critical modeling workflows, integrate RiskInsight more deeply into their existing systems, and manage large portfolios with greater efficiency.”

Version 4.16 also delivers substantial performance enhancements. Newly created results databases now require significantly less storage. This reduction lowers infrastructure costs, supports larger analyses, and reduces storage needs without sacrificing result resolution.

Version 4.16 expands modeling capabilities with support for Extended Replacement Cost, Guaranteed Replacement Cost, and Building Actual Cash Value endorsements, along with enhanced support for Roof Actual Cash Value. New reporting options, including account-level and user-defined results provide additional granularity for portfolio analyses and aggregation.

RiskInsight supports all major exposure data formats, including KCC's Open Exposure Format (OEF), which captures policy terms and endorsements such as Roof Actual Cash Value with greater precision than other legacy exposure formats. For organizations managing OEF data, Version 4.16 introduces a redesigned web-based Importer that processes exposure data eight to ten times faster and new Importer API endpoints that enable fully automated portfolio ingestion workflows.

“RiskInsight continues to deliver the transparency, flexibility, and computational power required by today’s (re)insurers and ILS investors,” said Karen Clark, KCC CEO. “This update reflects our commitment to combining advanced catastrophe modeling technology with the automation, integration, and scalability organizations require to support efficient risk management workflows.”
