Project B also announced the signing of Korean basketball star Jihyun Park, adding one of Asia’s leading players and an emerging global talent to its growing roster.

Geoff Prentice, Co-Founder and CEO at Project B, said, “The decision to begin this season in Seoul reflects Project B’s long-term commitment to Korea and our broader belief in Asia as a critical center of basketball’s global future. We’re proud to have the very best Korean players alongside the best players from around the world, bringing global talent together in a country with such a deep passion for the game.”

Prentice added, “Korea is shaping global culture today. Music, fashion, beauty, food, and entertainment coming out of Seoul are influencing audiences everywhere. Through Project B our players and fans around the world will experience Seoul’s rich culture firsthand.”

“To have Project B bring training camp to Seoul makes this moment even more special for me,” said Park. “Korea is home, and I’m incredibly proud that my teammates from around the world will have the opportunity to experience the energy, culture and passion for basketball here. I can’t wait to welcome everyone to Seoul to begin this journey together.”

Park, 26, is currently playing for the Los Angeles Sparks and this season became only the third Korean player in history to compete in a WNBA regular-season game. Her path to the WNBA has been distinctly international, with experience spanning Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Spain and the United States. Selected first overall in the 2018 WKBL Draft, Park has become known as one of Korea’s top players with Asan Woori Bank, earning Rookie of the Year honors and helping the club win multiple championships.

The announcement comes during the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Berlin, where Park is representing Korea on one of basketball’s biggest international stages.

“Representing Korea is one of the greatest honors of my career,” Park said. “The World Cup brings together the best players and basketball cultures from around the world. I’m proud to wear the Korean jersey and excited for the opportunity to compete on this stage.”

“Jihyun has sought out the highest levels of competition around the world and continued to elevate her game everywhere she has played,” said Project B Chief Basketball Officer Alana Beard.” She is a tremendous talent, an exceptional representative of Korean basketball and exactly the kind of player we want helping build Project B.”

Park’s signing and Project B’s decision to host training camp in Seoul underscore the company’s broader focus on Asia and its vision to bring together the world’s top players. Park joins a growing group of international stars who are owners and players in Project B as the global platform launches its inaugural grand prix-style circuit in 2027.

“Training camp is the first time our players will come together as one group, and we want that experience to reflect Project B’s DNA from day one,” added Beard. “Seoul is one of the world’s great cultural capitals, with an incredible basketball community and an energy that reaches far beyond sport. Bringing our players here, and creating a home for them at the Park Hyatt, gives us the opportunity to build something special together while connecting with the city and its culture. This is what we mean when we talk about building a truly global basketball platform.”

Located in the heart of Gangnam, the Park Hyatt Seoul is one of the city’s most distinctive luxury destinations, placing Project B at the center of one of Seoul’s most important business, entertainment and fashion districts.
