Suffolk and Zwick Construction Selected to Build Dixie Technical College Trades and Technology Building in St. George, Utah

91,700-square-foot facility marks significant win for Suffolk’s growing Mountain West operation

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Suffolk, one of the most innovative and successful builders in the country, and Zwick Construction Company have been selected to build the new 91,700-square-foot Trades and Technology Building at Dixie Technical College in St. George, Utah. The two companies will deliver the project through a progressive design-build approach, bringing together their complementary higher education and construction expertise, strong Utah presence and shared understanding of the local market to drive collaboration, identify solutions and align design and construction throughout the project.

When complete, the Trades and Technology Building will expand Dixie Technical College’s capacity to prepare students for careers in the skilled trades and emerging technologies at a time of growing demand for trained workers. The new facility will support the expansion of nine existing programs and create space for eight additional programs, including structural and wildland firefighting, automation and robotics and composite materials construction. Many of these high-demand programs currently face enrollment waitlists, and the new building will allow the College to serve more students and expand pathways into critical industries.
