Sweetgreen and Fishwife Bring Tinned Fish to the Menu for the First Time, with Summer Niçoise

Available nationwide for two weeks only, the limited-edition salad features a custom tin of Fishwife Albacore Tuna with Spanish Lemon

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sweetgreen today announced the Sweetgreen x Fishwife Summer Niçoise, a limited-edition salad developed with pioneering tinned seafood brand, Fishwife. Available nationwide for two weeks only, from August 11 through August 24, the Niçoise-inspired dish arrives with a custom co-branded tin of Fishwife Albacore Tuna with Spanish Lemon for guests to open and add themselves.

For the first time, Sweetgreen is bringing tinned fish to its menu through Fishwife’s first-ever national restaurant collaboration.

The launch marks the first time Fishwife will be featured on the menu at a national restaurant and serves as the centerpiece of Sweetgreen’s Summer of Fish, a late-summer menu moment celebrating bold, seafood-forward flavors. Featuring custom artwork by Fishwife’s illustrator Danny Miller, the co-branded tin is served on the side of the salad, creating an interactive eating experience and visual centerpiece for the collection.

“Fishwife has built an exciting brand around exceptional tinned seafood, bold flavor and thoughtful sourcing,” said Nicolas Jammet, Chief Concept Officer and Co-Founder of Sweetgreen. “We saw an opportunity to create something that went beyond a traditional ingredient collaboration by making the tin part of the meal itself. The Summer Niçoise is bright, satisfying and full of personality, and the experience feels entirely new for both brands.”

The Sweetgreen x Fishwife Summer Niçoise is made with romaine, spring mix, a summer vegetable medley, tomatoes, pickled onions, roasted sweet potatoes, crispy onions and hard-boiled egg, finished with lemon tarragon vinaigrette. Fishwife’s Albacore Tuna with Spanish Lemon, packed in olive oil with lemon, adds a bright, savory complement to the seasonal vegetables and herb-forward dressing.

“Our mission with Fishwife is to bring high-quality, delicious tinned seafood into everyday meals in a way that feels joyful and approachable, and this collaboration with Sweetgreen really hits the mark,” said Becca Millstein, Co-Founder and CEO of Fishwife. “Sweetgreen composed a salad that truly highlights the flavor profile of our Albacore Tuna with Spanish Lemon, pairing it with fresh summer ingredients that let those savory notes shine.”

Also launching August 11 as part of Sweetgreen’s core lineup is the new Omega Glow bowl, featuring miso-glazed salmon, romaine, white rice, corn salsa, carrots, cabbage, cilantro and almonds, finished with miso sesame ginger dressing. Savory salmon, crisp vegetables and layered textures come together in a satisfying new option designed to remain on the menu year-round.

Guests can order in-store, through the Sweetgreen app or at sweetgreen.com, and follow @Sweetgreen and @Fishwife on Instagram and TikTok for more information.
