Bradford Health Services Enters New Phase of Growth, Names Justin Adams Chief Operating Officer and Adds John Hollinsworth to Board

Appointments follow five acquisitions and a new Mid-South campus as the nearly 50-year-old provider deepens clinical quality and consistency across 36 care sites in eight states

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bradford Health Services, a nationally recognized provider of comprehensive addiction treatment and behavioral healthcare, today named Justin Adams Chief Operating Officer and added John Hollinsworth to its Board of Directors. Both bring deep multisite operating and governance experience as Bradford shifts from rapid expansion to strengthening what it delivers at every location.

Over the past two-plus years, Bradford acquired Lakeview Health, The Last Resort Recovery Center, Crestone Wellness, The Chapter House and Parkdale Center, and opened the new Woodland Recovery Center campus in the Mid-South. It has also invested in outpatient and satellite access, specialized programming, continuity of care, and expanded addiction, dual-diagnosis and psychiatric capabilities. The network now spans 36 care sites across eight states.

An Operator Focused on Consistency and Execution:

Adams brings more than 18 years of behavioral healthcare leadership. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare. As a Division President at Acadia Healthcare, he oversaw 14 specialty treatment facilities and 18 outpatient clinics across nine states, and has also held leadership roles at Universal Health Services. His earlier work as a facility CEO and in human resources gives him a practical understanding of operations at every level.

As Chief Operating Officer, Adams will oversee Bradford’s inpatient and outpatient operations. His first-year priorities: standardizing best practices across every location, making step-down care more seamless for patients, and sharpening how Bradford measures and improves outcomes.

Governance Experience for Selective, Disciplined Expansion:

Hollinsworth brings more than three decades of executive leadership, operations and governance experience in behavioral healthcare. He retired in 2024 as Executive Vice President of Operations at Acadia Healthcare, where he helped lead a national portfolio of facilities. Earlier roles included senior positions at Universal Health Services, Psychiatric Solutions and Ten Broeck Hospitals. A certified public accountant, he has served on the board of the National Association for Behavioral Healthcare.

He will advise Bradford’s Board and management on strategy, governance, leadership development and the infrastructure to expand responsibly — while maintaining clinical quality and the strengths of local teams.
