CesiumAstro Names Robert Myhill to Lead Washington, D.C. Engagement and Government Relations

Underscores CesiumAstro’s expansion of capabilities and partnerships in national security.

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CesiumAstro Inc. – a global leader in space and defense communications systems and satellites – today announced the appointment of Robert Myhill as Vice President of Business Development and Government Relations.

Myhill will serve as CesiumAstro’s senior leader in the nation’s capital, driving engagement with defense, intelligence, and policy stakeholders while growing the company’s presence in key national security markets. The appointment reflects CesiumAstro’s continued investment in its Washington, D.C. footprint as the company expands its support for U.S. government and national security missions.

Myhill brings more than 20 years of experience from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), where he held several senior leadership roles, most recently serving as Deputy Chief Technology Officer. His career at the CIA spanned technology, finance, and legislative affairs, including positions as Deputy Comptroller, Deputy Director of Congressional Affairs, and CIA representative to U.S. Cyber Command.

Earlier in his career, Myhill served as professional staff on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HSPCI), where he played a key role in negotiations for the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004. He also worked at BearingPoint (KPMG), leading development and systems integration efforts for major government programs.

Myhill holds a bachelor’s degree from The Catholic University of America and a master’s degree with distinction from the U.S. Naval War College. His honors include the CIA Director’s Award, the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal, and the Director of National Intelligence Lifetime Achievement Award for Legislative Affairs. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
