Ronald McDonald House New York Appoints Jayme Rothman as Chief Development and Engagement Officer

Accomplished philanthropy leader brings more than two decades of experience building transformative partnerships and advancing mission-driven organizations

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ronald McDonald House New York (RMH-NY) today announced the appointment of Jayme Rothman as Chief Development and Engagement Officer. A seasoned philanthropy executive with more than 23 years of experience, Rothman will oversee the organization’s fundraising, donor engagement, and strategic partnership efforts as RMH-NY continues to expand its impact for children battling pediatric cancer and other serious illnesses and their families.

Rothman joins RMH-NY from Bloomberg Philanthropies, where she served as a senior advisor managing a portfolio of high-profile fundraising partnerships, special projects, and events. Among her most notable accomplishments, she helped open the Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC)—the final component of the World Trade Center redevelopment—raising support and visibility for its capital campaign while helping launch signature programming for its inaugural season.

Prior to Bloomberg Philanthropies, Rothman served as Managing Director of Development at Robin Hood, New York City’s largest poverty-fighting organization. There, she led fundraising and relationship management, raising millions annually through major gifts, strategic partnerships, events, and peer-to-peer campaigns. She also helped launch several high-impact initiatives, including the COVID-19 Worker Relief Fund, PepsiCo Foundation’s Fund for Girls and Young Women, Major Good for Hunger Relief, and Night for NYC.

Earlier in her career, Rothman managed strategic relations at the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation, where she developed partnerships supporting early-stage drug discovery and clinical trials for neurodegenerative diseases. She also served as Managing Director at Innovative Philanthropy, overseeing more than 20 fundraising events and campaigns annually for clients including Tribeca Film Institute, Joyful Heart Foundation, and Malaria No More.

Rothman began her career in roles with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, experiences that helped shape her passion for mission-driven storytelling and philanthropy. A graduate of Penn State University, Rothman lives in Hoboken, New Jersey, with her husband and their two children.

RMH-NY supports families from NYC, across the U.S. and around the world in the fight against pediatric cancer and other serious pediatric illnesses through its House on the Upper East Side in Manhattan as well as in partnering NYC hospitals.
