Spotfire Deepens Oil & Gas Asset Valuation and Economic Analytics Through Enertel Acquisition

Acquisition strengthens Spotfire® Industry Pro with advanced asset valuation, production forecasting, and economic workflows that connect engineering insight with investment decisions.

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Spotfire, a business unit of Cloud Software Group and a global leader in visual industrial analytics, today announced the acquisition of Enertel Holdings, LLC (Enertel), a leading provider of asset valuation, production forecasting, and economic analytics technology for the oil and gas industry.

The acquisition strengthens Spotfire’s ability to support the complete upstream decision workflow — connecting subsurface, drilling, and production understanding with the economic evaluation required to prioritize opportunities, optimize capital deployment, and maximize asset value.

Upstream energy organizations must continuously balance technical understanding with financial outcomes. While Spotfire has long enabled engineers and analysts to explore complex subsurface, drilling, and production data, the addition of the Enertel QuantumCast™ capabilities extends these workflows into production forecasting, probabilistic type curves, asset valuation, and economic modeling. Together, these capabilities enable teams to move more efficiently from technical analysis to investment decisions.

“Energy organizations operate in an environment where every investment decision depends on a deep understanding of both engineering reality and economic impact,” said Steven Schneider, General Manager, Spotfire. “By bringing Enertel’s expertise in forecasting, asset valuation, and economic analysis into Spotfire Industry Pro, we are strengthening our ability to support the decisions that define upstream performance — from understanding production potential to evaluating investment scenarios and optimizing asset portfolios.”

Current customers of both Spotfire and Enertel will benefit from a shared vision and integrated roadmap focused on expanding the capabilities available within Spotfire Industry Pro. The combination brings together Spotfire’s advanced analytics, AI-assisted investigation, and energy expertise with Enertel’s specialized valuation and forecasting workflows, enabling teams to accelerate analysis and make more confident business decisions.

"We are incredibly excited to join Spotfire and combine Enertel’s deep energy expertise with their world-class analytics platform. Together, we have an incredible opportunity to accelerate innovation, expand capabilities, and deliver even greater value across upstream oil and gas, minerals, and energy analytics workflows. This combination strengthens our ability to scale faster, invest more aggressively in product development, and bring even more powerful solutions to the energy industry." Fred Enochs, Enertel
