HRC Fertility Joins 2026 San Francisco Pride as Community Sponsor/Human Rights Summit Participant
First SF Pride since California’s SB729 took effect bringing new pathways to LGBTQ+ family-building
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HRC Fertility, one of the largest providers of advanced fertility care, is honored to be a proud sponsor of the 56th Annual San Francisco Pride Celebration & Parade and to participate in SF Pride’s 4th Annual Human Rights Summit.
Part of this year’s Pride week programming the Human Rights Summit takes place on Thursday, June 25, at Commonwealth Club World Affairs, ahead of the SF Pride Celebration & Parade on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28. HRC Fertility is taking part in this year’s festival and summit to shed greater light on family building options, education and access for LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. This is not a new conversation for HRC Fertility. For nearly 40 years, HRC Fertility has worked with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples navigating fertility care, including donor sperm, donor egg, IVF, egg freezing, fertility preservation and gestational surrogacy.
This year’s Pride is especially exciting as it’s the first since SB 729 took effect in California in January 2026. The new legislation expands access to infertility care to include LGBTQ+ persons who were previously excluded from certain types of fertility medicine insurance coverage – an important shift for many who were not always reflected in older insurance coverage rules.
“San Francisco Pride is a celebration, but it is also about action," said Kerry Ayazi, administrative president of HRC Fertility. “This year feels particularly special. California has taken an important step toward recognizing that LGBTQ+ individuals belong in the fertility care conversation, and we are excited to stand with the community at Pride during such a meaningful year. HRC Fertility has worked to build LGBTQ+ families for nearly 40 years, but we also recognize there is more work to do for fertility care to be more accessible and responsive to the people seeking it. Being part of Pride week reflects that ongoing commitment. Helping LGBTQ+ people become parents is an important part of fertility care and it is part of what HRC Fertility does every day."
As HRC Fertility continues to grow in Northern California, its SF Pride sponsorship offers a local way to stand alongside the community groups, advocates, families and allies who make Pride such a visible part of Bay Area life. HRC Fertility now has two Bay Area offices: a San Francisco office led by Dr. Kay Waud and a Foster City office in the Silicon Valley area led by Dr. Christo Zouves. Dr. Howard Li and Dr. Arian Khorshid will also be joining the San Francisco and Silicon Valley area offices, respectively, in the early Fall season of this year. Dr. Li will be helping lead HRC Fertility’s presence at SF Pride as a member of SF Pride.
“We are pleased to welcome HRC Fertility as a Community Sponsor and participant in this year’s Human Rights Summit,” said Suzanne Ford, executive director of San Francisco Pride. “Their long-standing work with LGBTQ+ patients and families reflects a commitment to care that is grounded in respect, cultural understanding and the real needs of the people they serve. As we come together for Pride week, we are grateful to have partners who understand that affirming care is essential to the health and well-being of our community.”
