ANNAPOLIS, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vision Innovation Partners (“VIP”), a leading Mid-Atlantic eye care platform with 69 locations, today announced that it has appointed Dr. Brad Foster as Chief Medical and Strategy Officer.
The Chief Medical and Strategy Officer role is a new leadership position within VIP and is intended to improve patient outcomes and clinical quality across the company’s platform. As part of his responsibilities, Dr. Foster will work closely with VIP's physicians to establish clinical performance benchmarks and drive greater accountability through standardized processes.

Dr. Foster is a highly accomplished and distinguished physician and leader who possesses extensive experience leading innovative, transformational change across ophthalmology, multi-site surgical and medical practices. As Founder and Managing Partner of New England Retina Consultants, Dr. Foster spent more than 20 years overseeing all aspects of practice management, including talent acquisition, financial operations, compliance oversight, and strategic risk mitigation, while maintaining an active clinical practice. During this time, he also established a retina research institute that served as a key site for conducting major clinical trials, increasing institutional visibility and advancing access to cutting-edge therapies. Dr. Foster also excelled as Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Millennium Vision Partners, where he directed strategic outreach and engagement with physician groups, aligning clinical and operational goals to support long-term integration and value creation, and as Chief Medical Officer at Ascend Vision Partners, where he improved infection control practices, right-sized staffing models, implemented enterprise-wide protocols and enhanced utilization management across surgical centers.

Dr. Foster currently serves on the Board of Advisors of Blue Clay Health, a private medical advisory service dedicated to providing continuous clarity and safety for individuals navigating complex medical conditions. He received his B.S. in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell University, his MD from the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University, and his MHA from Cornell University. Dr. Foster completed his fellowship at Mass Eye and Ear, a member of Mass General Brigham and a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.
