GeoComputing’s debut at GeoConvention is part of the company’s recently announced expansion into Canada, helping upstream Canadian natural resource companies and service providers extract additional value from their operations. Purpose-built to meet the demanding requirements of geoscience workflows, RiVA overcomes key industry challenges that include poor system performance, complex environments, massive data volumes, dispersed teams, limited technical support and high deployment costs.

With its high-throughput architecture and streamlined deployment, RiVA dramatically accelerates processing times, enabling tasks that once took days to be completed in a matter of hours – all while enhancing accuracy, reliability and overall workflow productivity. In addition to supporting day-to-day production workflows, the RiVA platform offers a fully integrated disaster recovery solution to ensure business continuity and data resilience across its operations.

Options for private cloud enablement include single-tenant deployment with all hardware and software resources dedicated to the customer’s organization. In this deployment, GeoComputing manages all aspects of the platform and offers connectivity over the internet or via private data links, providing anywhere connectivity while respecting considerations such as data sovereignty. Additionally, a multi-tenant private cloud option is available with shared hardware and software resources administered by service providers. This option provides even greater cost savings and support while retaining distinct, partitioned storage pools with dedicated server and workstations for the end customer.

“We have successfully deployed more than 200 O&G industry-standard and proprietary petro-technical applications as part of the RiVA platform, helping to significantly accelerate E&P performance with high‑throughput private cloud computing,” said John Creevan, CEO of GeoComputing. “The RiVA platform is ideally suited to address the unique challenges facing Canadian operators, including massive datasets, performance bottlenecks and rising infrastructure costs. We look forward to showcasing how RiVA significantly outperforms traditional infrastructure and public cloud solutions at a fraction of the cost with our partners at this year’s GeoConvention.”

GeoConvention is an annual technical conference and exhibition offering delegates and attendees the opportunity to network, knowledge share and learn with fellow industry professionals, visit exhibitors and give back to the earth science community. In addition to visiting “Powered by RiVA” booths on the convention floor, conference attendees are invited to enjoy an evening of networking, light bites, and easygoing conversation with fellow attendees and industry friends at a client reception hosted by S&P Global and GeoComputing Group at the Polomino Smokehouse from 5-7 p.m. May 12. Those interested in attending the evening event are invited to register at https://form.jotform.com/261025954683159
